Some of the comments by the participants of this survey are given below:

"Its different with different people. If one wants to get into Media one had to decide whether one wants to get into the creative side or into hardcore production. If one wants to get into the creative side its but obvious that one has to have creativity, has to be confident of selling his/her visualization (intuition could possibly help) and also a thorough production knowledge. However, if one wants to get into hardcore production what's most important is excellent communication skills, a bit of creativity, confidence of carrying out a given assignment and good intuitive power to foresee potential production goof ups. That's my take on your survey." Uday, Film maker & Partner at Trapeze Pictures

"
I would say that all the skills that you have put in your question are essential to succeed in media business. The business is pretty dynamic where everyday is new day and you need to selectively forget the past, control the present and plan the future." - Ishwar Jha, entrepreneur

"My list goes like this: a) Intellect b) General Knowledge c) Topical Knowledge Expertise d) Technical Know How b) Analytical Power c) Communication Capability d) Creativity e) Confidence" - Aditya Basu, Founder, Xtreme TeleVision

"I think having a good Intuitive Power is extreemly important as in this field you need to be Spontaneous and on your toes 24x7 with new ideas, vision where you will take the company to what heights, the rest "Creativity, Excellent Communications, Confidence will follow automatically." - Vanessa Loyola, Creative Head - UTV New Media

"Communication, Creativity, Intuitive Power & Confidence are generic qualities which are a must to get into any industry. What the media industry today needs is the sheer ability to create value for the business, the ability to adapt to the changing landscape and the ability to multitask." -Kaushal Nanavati, VP, UTV Global Broadcasting

"Above all - i see the most important thing as COMMITMENT & PATIENCE. todays generation im sorry to say seems to keep these on the last foot. Again - it depends on which part of media somebody wants to be because the skill sets will be different for a Media Buyer Vis a vis a Media Planner vis a vis a Media Seller. These 3 charectars are like a triangle yet in the same business being dependant of each other." - Shankar B, National Head - Sales at E 18
